Thank you so much for your desire to serve those in the community!

For many, the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused fear and anxiety. Yet we are grateful that the Bible tells us, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would sense God’s peace in the midst of these difficult circumstances. Our desire is to walk in wisdom as we serve the Lord and our community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God and our love for people.

In times like this, loneliness can prevail. Our first objective is to provide relational support for people—praying together and checking on each other via phone, text, or email. The enemy loves to work through isolation, so let’s make sure our seniors or immune-compromised friends are still well-loved and cared for during this time.

Our second objective is to provide support with basic tasks or errands that may require public presence. We know that many are hurting and scared during this time, so we hope to bring life, joy, and peace to those around us by meeting the physical needs of our neighbors.

Please note: Membership at Gateway Church is not required to be part of this initiative.

Thank you for electing to serve in this time of need. We understand there is a lot of uncertainty with the coronavirus so we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines to protect yourself and those serving with you.

Please note: Dallas, Collin, and Tarrant County shelter-in-place orders permit people to run essential errands for others in need.
